Volunteer Opportunities

We have many volunteer opportunities available.  The Elephant Run's inaugural, 2nd 3rd and 4th year events were great successes in large part thanks to the many volunteers (over 100) who came out on race day! 

Volunteers are needed for:

Pre-Registration (Race Packet Pick-Up) 
Set Up:  Sat  to unload and set up tables/chairs
               Race day - 6:00am - 8:30am
Balloon arch prep and decorating -  race day 6:30am - 8:00am
Food prep/service  - post race party   7:00am-11:00am
Registration  7:30-9:30am
Kids Activities   8:30am-12:00pm
Kids Race   9:45am-10:45am
Race Course Traffic Control   8am-10:00am
Water Table   8am-10:00am
Clean Up  12pm-2:00pm

The Elephant Run

All proceeds from The Elephant Run benefit the Marcena Lozano Donate Life Scholarship Fund which will be awarded to transplant recipients, with priority given to candidates in the WNY area. The name "The Elephant Run" was chosen because of Marcena's adoration of the elephant's sensitive, complex nature and highly protective extended family and her knowledge that, like the elephant, we will never forget the donors who gave new life... and we will certainly never forget Marcena.
